Blood Fire Shrimp

The Blood Red Fire Shrimp (Lysmata debelius) is a popular ornamental shrimp in marine aquariums. Here are some characteristics of this shrimp: 

• Color: Blood red body with white spots and long white antennae 
  
• Size: Can grow up to 4 inches in size 
  
• Temperament: Peaceful 
  
• Diet: Opportunistic omnivores that eat meat, greens, parasites, and dead skin cells from fish 
  
• Habitat: Prefer caves and overhangs in aquariums with not too much intense lighting during the day 
  
• Tank requirements: A minimum of 30 gallons, stable water parameters, and regular water changes 
  
• Sensitivity: Sensitive to water parameter variations, such as copper-based medication, and pollution 
  
• Molting: Require correct levels of iodine in the water to promote proper molting
